Traffic and Parking Changes for Narragansett’s Blessing of the Fleet Road Race

The Blessing of the Fleet Road Race in Narragansett will take place at 6 p.m. on Friday, necessitating various road and parking closures to manage traffic and ensure safety. Parking will be restricted on Kingstown Road from Caswell Street to Memorial Square from 4 a.m. to 10 p.m. Additionally, several roads will be closed from 2 p.m. until the race concludes. Free Car Seat Checks by South Kingstown Police at Wakefield Mall

The South Kingstown Police Department is offering free car seat checks at the Wakefield Mall on Tuesday, July 30th, from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Certified technicians will be available to assist with new car seats and ensure existing seats are installed correctly. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration emphasizes that proper car seat installation can save the lives of 325 children under 5 each year. The department's initiative is part of their commitment to enhancing child safety. No appointment is required for this event, located at 160 Old Tower Hill Road.

Rhode Island Updates Unclaimed Property Website

General Treasurer James Diossa announced that the Rhode Island unclaimed property website has transitioned to a new domain, FindRIMoney.gov, to enhance security and trust. The previous domain, FindRIMoney.com, will redirect users to the new site. This fiscal year, the Unclaimed Property Program has returned almost $17 million to more than 19,000 residents.
