Narragansett Road Preservation Project
Begins July 8

The Town of Narragansett will start a road preservation treatment project on July 8, beginning with stone sealing and followed by the application of Fog Seal starting July 29. This project aims to maintain and extend the life of the town's roads.

For a detailed list of the roads affected by this treatment, please visit the Narragansett Department of Public Works Projects page here.

Unsolicited Packages Part of Widespread "Brushing Scam"

Consumers across Rhode Island. are reporting a surge in unsolicited packages arriving from online platforms like Amazon and Temu, part of a brushing scam aimed at generating fake positive reviews. These packages, often containing obscure items, use the recipients' personal information without consent. While recipients can legally keep the items, they should report the incident and take steps to secure their personal information.

The Better Business Bureau advises several steps for consumers who receive unexpected packages: identify the sender if possible, check for false reviews, monitor recent orders, change account passwords, and take precautions to protect personal information.
