Yes Votes Leading in South Kingstown's $150 Million School Bond Referendum

With all precincts reporting, the "Yes" votes lead in South Kingstown's $150 million school bond referendum, with 4,226 in favor versus 3,513 opposed, excluding mail-in ballots.
If the referendum passes, the town will build a new, smaller high school featuring upgraded technology, security, and flexible learning spaces, alongside a new athletic facility replacing Curtis Corner Middle School.

Get Your RIPTA Senior Bus Pass at the South Kingstown Senior Center Today

Seniors looking for a RIPTA Senior Reduced Fare Bus Pass can visit the Senior Center Today. For $10 and proof of being 65 years or older, seniors will receive a pass good for two years, allowing them to enjoy discounted fares on RIPTA buses during off-peak hours.

South Kingstown Opens Sales for 2024 Beach Passes

South Kingstown Town Beach passes for the 2024 season are now on sale. Residents seeking the resident rate must provide proof of residency and a copy of their car registration. Passes can be purchased at the Neighborhood Guild or online and will also be available at the beach once it opens.

The beach will operate on weekends only from May 25 to June 16 and seven days a week from June 17 to September 2.
