This forum will provide an opportunity for community members to ask questions, learn more about the project, and engage directly with the planning process.

Two-Week Maintenance Project Begins at Marina Park’s West Parking Lot

The South Kingstown Highway and Parks Divisions have initiated maintenance work on the west parking lot at Marina Park to address drainage and erosion issues. The project started on April 30th and is expected to take two weeks.
During this time, visitors with boat trailers are directed to park in the east lot, across from local landmarks Java Madness and Stone Cove Marina.

The maintenance is part of broader efforts to enhance the facilities at Marina Park, with the Parks and Recreation Department thanking the community for their patience.

Rhode Island's Free Fishing Weekend Set for
May 4-5

The Rhode Island Department of Environmental Management has announced the dates for its annual Free Fishing Weekend on May 4-5, during which anglers can fish without a license in freshwater areas. Initially started in 1995, the initiative encourages public participation in freshwater fishing and highlights premier fishing locations within the state. Regular fishing regulations still apply, and activities such as the use of felt-soled boots are restricted to protect the environment.
Anglers who land a golden rainbow trout can also win a special pin by submitting a photo of their catch.
