South Kingstown Sets Date for Final Budget Hearing

South Kingstown Town Council schedules the final public hearing for the FY 2024-2025 budget on April 29, where they will also consider community petitions related to budget amendments.
The hearing will take place at the Town Council Chambers, with the preliminary budget available for public review online and at Town Hall.

Eco-Depot Event at Narragansett Beach: Schedule Your Hazardous Waste Disposal

The town of Narragansett announces the Household Hazardous Waste Eco-Depot event to be held on April 20 from 8 a.m. to noon at the North Pavilion of Narragansett Beach. Residents are invited to responsibly dispose of hazardous waste by scheduling an appointment with the RIRRC, partaking in an environmental initiative to properly handle potentially dangerous materials.

URI Hosts Out of the Darkness 5K Walk in Push for Mental Health Awareness

On April 20, URI will conduct the Out of the Darkness 5K walk to raise awareness and support for mental health and suicide prevention.
The event is part of a series by the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention and is designed to engage students in a dialogue about mental health, with no registration fee or fundraising requirement.
Registration for the event is open and can be completed at www.afsp.org/URI
