Beware of Citizen's Bank Phone Scam: Local Police Issue Warning

Local authorities have alerted the public to a scam involving calls from individuals posing as Citizen's Bank representatives. These scammers are using caller ID spoofing to make it appear as though the calls are coming from the bank. Citizens are advised to be cautious and to contact the bank directly using official numbers if they receive any suspicious calls.

Statement from Citizens Bank:
The safety and security of our customers’ accounts is of utmost importance to us.  We monitor for unusual activity 24 hours a day, seven days a week.  If customers have any doubts about the validity of a communication or are experiencing a fraud issue, they should contact us at 1.800.922.9999 or the number on the back of their cards or statements. We also recommend that customers visit the extensive information we have available about security and fraud protection at: www.citizensbank.com/security/default.aspx.

Clear Out Clutter and Hazards at Narragansett's Eco-Depot Event

The Rhode Island Resource Recovery Corporation is organizing an Eco-Depot event at Narragansett Beach North Pavilion on April 20. This free event offers residents the opportunity to dispose of hazardous household waste, shred personal documents, and donate clothing and linens. Appointments are required for hazardous waste disposal to ensure a smooth and efficient process.
