Join us for a thrilling round of virtual BINGO! Here are all the details you need to know:
When: Daily drawings on weekdays at Noon, from Monday, March 4th to Friday, March 22nd.
Where: Tune in to our website www.srichamber.com or follow our Facebook or Instagram pages for the daily videos! Missed a video? No worries! All previously called BINGO numbers will be posted for your convenience, so you can catch up before the March 27th deadline.
How to Play: Grab your bingo cards for just $5 each from the chamber office at 230 Old Tower Hill Road, Wakefield, RI, or give us a call at 401-783-2801. We can even send them to you via mail or email at no extra charge! BINGO cards are available for purchase through March 22nd.
Daily Prizes: Each video will reveal 3 BINGO numbers, and one lucky cardholder will win a $50 Chamber gift certificate! Every participant with a card is automatically entered into the daily drawing.
Grand Prize: Got a BINGO? Return your card to us by Wednesday, March 27th, and you'll be in the running for the grand prize drawing on Monday, April 1st. Prizes include $500, $250, and $150 Chamber gift certificates, redeemable at over 200 local businesses!
South Kingstown School Building Committee Calls for Volunteers for Construction Manager Selection
The South Kingstown School Building Committee is in search of two community members to assist in the selection process of a Construction Manager for the upcoming construction of a high school and athletic facility.
The committee emphasizes the importance of community involvement in this significant project and invites interested individuals to apply online.
South Kingstown's Matunuck Oyster Bar Ranks 25th in Yelp's 2024 Top Seafood Restaurants
Yelp's 2024 list of the "Top 100 Seafood Spots" in America features Matunuck Oyster Bar in South Kingstown, at the 25th position.
This accolade is the result of positive reviews and ratings from Yelp's online community. The selection process prioritized restaurants within the seafood category, emphasizing those with frequent mentions of "seafood" in reviews.
The final rankings were based on a combination of Yelp ratings and the volume of reviews by the end of 2023.
South Kingstown Police Warn of 'Grandparent Scam' Targeting Elderly Residents
The South Kingstown Police Department is alerting the public, especially the elderly, to be cautious of phone scammers employing the "grandparent scam."
In this scam, perpetrators call seniors claiming to be a relative requiring financial assistance and then arrange a meeting to collect cash or gift cards.
Police stress that this is always fraudulent and urge anyone receiving such a call to immediately hang up and report it to the South Kingstown police at 401-783-3321.

Men’s Basketball
The University of Rhode Island's basketball season concluded with a 74-71 defeat against Saint Louis in the first round of the Atlantic 10 Championship.
The Rams, seeded 11th, struggled early in the game but managed to take a five-point lead in the second half. Saint Louis, the 14th seed, fought back in the final minutes.
Despite a late 3-pointer by David Green and a layup by Luis Kortright, Rhode Island couldn't maintain their lead and ultimately fell short.
