Kingston Welcomes Temporary Shelter to Aid Homeless Families

In Kingston, a new shelter has been established to support families experiencing homelessness, providing up to 30 beds and addressing the absence of such facilities in Washington County.
Funded by the Rhode Island Department of Housing, the shelter is a temporary measure with the aim of extending its services and highlighting the necessity for permanent solutions.

From Historic Sites to Coastlines: Rhode Island's 'All That' Aims to Boost Tourism

"All That," Rhode Island's new tourism campaign, aims to draw national attention to the state's rich history, culinary delights, and natural beauty.
Launched by Rhode Island Commerce and supported by Governor Dan McKee, the campaign includes partnerships with national media to showcase the state's economic and cultural attractions.

Narragansett's Landscape to Transform with Lighthouse Inn Demolition

The demolition of the Lighthouse Inn marks the beginning of plans to transform the site into a communal area with picnic tables and open space.
While the vision for the area includes supporting the commercial fishing industry and enhancing visitor experience, lease negotiations and the final function of the property remain uncertain.
The project, estimated to cost $1.3 million, is seen as an investment in the community's future, symbolizing Narragansett's commitment to both heritage and progress.
