Narragansett Considers First Beach Parking Fee Increase in Eight Years

The Narragansett Town Council plans to vote on an increase in beach parking fees for the first time in eight years, with a proposal to standardize the daily rate at $15 and to close the beach at 6 p.m.
The proposed changes aim to increase town revenue and will alter certain non-resident privileges, including weekday access to a previously resident-only parking lot and the discontinuation of non-resident "grandfathered" rights to south pavilion lockers after 2024.

Tuition to Rise at University of Rhode Island; Financial Aid Increases

URI's Board of Trustees has approved a tuition increase for the next academic year, which will be 3.3% for in-state and 3.8% for out-of-state students.
This increase comes with an enhanced financial aid budget, ensuring that URI remains competitively affordable in the Northeast region.
