A New Chapter for Tomaquag Museum with Relocation to University of Rhode Island

The Tomaquag Museum's upcoming relocation to the University of Rhode Island’s Kingston campus marks a strategic move to broaden its reach and impact.

With nearly 20,000 visitors in 2023, the museum aims to engage more people through its new facilities, including an exhibit gallery and a café.

The move is supported by federal grants and fundraising efforts, aiming to raise over $10 million for the project. Collaborations with URI and the Narragansett Tribe aim to enrich educational offerings and honor Indigenous heritage.
