RIEMA Seeks Damage Reports Post Severe Weather for Federal Aid Assessment
RIEMA is gathering data on the impact of the severe weather event from January 9-11 and 12-14 through an initial damage assessment form available on their website. The information collected will help determine if Rhode Island qualifies for Federal reimbursement and explore the possibility of a Small Business Administration disaster declaration. The form enables homeowners and businesses to report physical and economic damages, aiding in accurate documentation of expenses for disaster response and recovery.

Climate Change and Storms Fuel Erosion Woes on South Kingstown Shores
The beaches of South Kingstown are facing significant erosion, with recent storms exacerbating the situation. The town beach, once a popular summer spot, now shows stark signs of environmental damage.
Town officials are considering various strategies to combat erosion, but the challenges posed by climate change and rising sea levels make the task increasingly difficult.
Past and present mitigation efforts highlight the ongoing battle against coastal erosion in the area.
Sons of Liberty Introduces Non-Alcoholic Cocktail Options
Embracing the growing interest in non-alcoholic beverages, Sons of Liberty Spirits Co. has launched a mocktail menu at their tasting room. The menu offers six creative mocktails, including alcohol-free versions of popular cocktails. This initiative aligns with the Dry January movement and the increasing desire for healthier drink options.
The distillery's expertise in in-house crafting of bitters and syrups is reflected in the flavorful and diverse mocktail offerings.
