Men’s Basketball
In a decisive match, the Rhode Island Rams defeated Northeastern 82-71, highlighted by a balanced scoring effort and the season's strongest defensive performance. The Rams forced 16 turnovers and blocked five shots, building a significant lead in the second half. Despite Northeastern's comeback attempt, Luis Kortright's late-game performance, including key 3-pointers and layups, spurred an 18-6 run, securing the Rams' largest lead and snapping their five-game losing streak as they prepare for Atlantic 10 play.

The Men’s next game will be home against Saint Joseph on Wednesday, January 3rd at 7 PM, This game will be streamed on ESPN+.

Women’s Basketball
Rhode Island Rams secured a 63-58 win against Saint Louis in their Atlantic 10 opener, driven by Anaelle Dutat's career-best 13 points and 15 rebounds. Despite a sluggish start and trailing at halftime, Rhode Island turned the game around with a 15-1 run, led by contributions from Teisha Hyman, Dee Dee Davis, Sophie Phillips, and Sophie Sene. The Rams maintained their lead in the final quarter, overcoming a late surge by Saint Louis, with key plays by Hyman and Sene clinching their third consecutive victory.

Next game will be home against George Mason on Tuesday, January 2nd at 6 PM, This game will be streamed on ESPN+.

The Rebels Boys Basketball next game will be away against Mt. Hope on Tuesday, January 9th at 6 PM

Girls Basketball

The Rebels Girls Basketball next game will be home against East Providence on Wednesday, January 3rd at 6 PM
