Holiday Hours for Rose Hill Transfer Station in South Kingstown

The Rose Hill Regional Transfer Station, a key facility for waste management in South Kingstown, will observe modified hours during the New Year's holiday. The station will shut its doors early at 2:00 pm on Saturday, December 30, 2023, and will be closed on New Year's Day, January 1, 2024.

Honor Patrols by Narragansett Police Aim to Raise Awareness of Impaired Driving

The Narragansett Police Department, in collaboration with Mothers Against Drunk Driving - Rhode Island, is initiating "Honor Patrols" to combat impaired driving during the holidays. These patrols are dedicated to victims of impaired driving crashes. The campaign includes patrols by Patrolman Brandon Gagnon and Sgt. Lauren Kearns, each honoring specific individuals who tragically lost their lives in impaired driving incidents.
The initiative aims to raise awareness about the dangers of impaired driving and encourages the public to make responsible choices to prevent further loss of life.

The Men’s next game will be home against New Hampshire on Saturday, December 30th at 1 PM, This game will be streamed on ESPN+.

Women’s Basketball
In a tense matchup, the Rhode Island Rams defeated Harvard 59-56. The Rams led for most of the game, but Harvard's late surge, including a three-pointer by Katie Krupa, briefly put them ahead. Sophie Phillips of Rhode Island then scored a crucial off-balance three-pointer in the final minute, regaining the lead for her team. Despite Harvard's efforts, including 15 points from Lola Mullaney, Rhode Island's defense held strong, and Phillips' free throw in the final seconds secured the Rams' victory.

Next game will be away against Saint Louis on Saturday, December 30th at 8 PM, This game will be streamed on ESPN+.
