Scheduled Construction to Cause Delays on Newport Pell Bridge This Week

Traffic on the Newport Pell Bridge will face temporary delays this week, particularly in the westbound direction. The Rhode Island Turnpike and Bridge Authority has scheduled these disruptions for Tuesday and Thursday, between 8 a.m. and 2 p.m., to allow for the unloading of median barriers.
Commuters are advised to plan for potential impacts on travel times during these periods.

South Kingstown 300th Anniversary Speaker Series Finale

The speaker series finale for South Kingstown's 300th anniversary will feature Town Manager James Manni discussing the historical significance of South Kingstown as the birthplace of the Rhode Island State Police. Scheduled for December 12th at the South Kingstown High School Auditorium, the event will include Manni's vision for the town's future. Attendees will enjoy refreshments and have the chance to purchase commemorative merchandise.
