RAMS

Men’s Basketball

URI 64, Brown 67

Brown University managed to hold off a late-game comeback by the University of Rhode Island's Men’s basketball team for a 67-64 win. The Rams, struggling with a slow start and free throws, closed an 11-point deficit to just two points near the end of the game. Key plays by Jaden House and Luis Kortright brought them close, but Brown's Kino Lilly, Jr.'s free throws ensured their victory. The Rams' last-second scramble wasn't enough to avoid their third straight loss in the series.

Next game will be away against College of Charleston on Sunday, December 10th with a 2 PM.

Women’ Basketball

URI 50, Providence 51

The Rhode Island Rams experienced a close defeat against the Providence Friars with a score of 51-50, primarily due to their poor shooting performance. Although they started strong, the Rams quickly fell behind but managed to finish the first quarter down by only five points. Their offensive struggles continued into the second quarter, yet they went into halftime with a four-point lead, thanks to their free throws and defensive efforts. The second half saw continued shooting struggles for the Rams, and despite a brief lead, Providence's late scoring, including a crucial three-pointer, edged the Rams into a loss.

Next game will be away against St. John on Sunday, December 10th at 2PM.
