Fighting Hunger Together with the Rhode Island Community Food Bank
As the season of giving approaches, we're reaching out to our community for a collective effort to support the Rhode Island Community Food Bank.
Our goal is ambitious but attainable: we hope to raise $1,000 to aid in their crucial work.
The Food Bank is a cornerstone in the struggle against hunger, providing sustenance to over 63,000 residents of our state each month through a robust network of 140 partner agencies, including food pantries and various programs that feed the young and vulnerable.
Our commitment to eliminating hunger is steadfast, and we invite you to stand with us.

Water Main Break on Bridgetown Road Disrupts Service in Narragansett
In Narragansett, an unexpected disruption rattled the daily routine as a water main on Bridgetown Road broke, leaving residents in a swath of the surrounding area without service.
The break, which occurred in the early afternoon of November 14, has necessitated a shutdown affecting Wilson Drive, Shore Drive, Marsh Lane, Riverside Court, as well as parts of Pettaquamscutt Avenue and Bridgetown Road.
Repair crews are on-site, addressing the issue, but until the work is completed, inhabitants may find their water pressure insufficient, or their water supply tinged with discoloration.
Officials advise those affected to run their cold water lines after the repair work concludes to clear any discoloration and restore water quality.
Rhode Island Leads Nation in Lung Cancer Survival Rates for Second Year
Rhode Island maintains its status as the state with the highest lung cancer survival rate, according to the American Lung Association.
This success reflects the state's commitment to healthcare access, advancements in treatment, and increased disease awareness.
While neighboring Massachusetts leads in early diagnoses, both states are urged to continue their fight against lung cancer.
T.F. Green Airport Welcomes Biometric Screening Service to Ease Holiday Travel
