Teen Driver Safety Week Highlights Rising Concerns, Urges Parental Guidance on Safe Driving Practices

National Teen Driver Safety Week aims to raise awareness about the dangers teen drivers face. In 2021, over 2,500 deaths resulted from crashes involving teen drivers.

The NHTSA suggests parents discuss topics like impaired driving, seatbelt usage, and avoiding distractions with their teens.

More than half of the teen crash victims in 2021 didn't wear seat belts. Distracted driving, speeding, and driving with peer passengers increase risks.

Louis Pratt from the National Students Against Destructive Decisions emphasizes the importance of driving focus and staying within speed limits.

The organization collaborates with the National Road Safety Foundation to promote safe driving. Resources are available online for ensuring teen safety on roads.

Bend Yoga Studio is set to open a new branch at the historic Wilcox Tavern building in Charlestown.

Owner Caroline Keene expressed excitement about transforming the space into a wellness hub. The new location will feature two yoga and fitness studios, with a grand opening party planned for Halloween night.
